With deep expertise in the financial services and energy and resources industries, Tim’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and international transactions.
Tim joined Greenwoods & Herbert Smith Freehills’ Sydney office in 2005, after seven years in the income tax advisory sections of two major Australian law firms. A Director since 2007, his expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, innovative financial products, cross-border dealings and capital management. He is also experienced in tax audits, rulings and disputes.
A Chartered Tax Adviser of The Tax Institute, Tim is deputy chair of its Financial Services Taxation Conference. He also lectures in the Master of Laws program at the University of Sydney. Tim holds Bachelor of Arts and Laws (Hons) degrees and a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney, and is admitted as a solicitor in NSW.
