Daniel is a Director at Greenwoods & Herbert Smith Freehills’ Sydney office. He has more than 16 years experience, with a focus on tax consolidation, the taxation of property trusts and infrastructure projects.
Daniel joined Greenwoods in 2001 after being employed at a major international accounting firm. He advises clients from a range of sectors, including property and construction, media, funds management, retirement living, mining, and banking and finance. He has assisted clients with creating property development funds and investment structures (including structures that are Sharia compliant), tax litigation, international restructuring, share buy-backs and employee benefit vehicles.
Daniel sits on the tax committees for the Retirement Living Council and its parent group, the Property Council of Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Banking from the University of Wollongong. A registered solicitor in New South Wales, Daniel is also a Member of The Tax Institute of Australia and has lectured in the Master of Tax program at the University of Sydney.
