Adrian O'Shannessy

Admitted as a solicitor in Victoria, Adrian specialises in tax litigation, public trusts and stapled vehicles, inbound investment and employee share plans.

For more than 25 years he has advised public- and private-sector organisations on all aspects of domestic and international tax planning, including M&A and structured finance. Adrian has also implemented employee share and option plans at leading Australian and international organisations across a number of industry sectors, including banking and mining. 

Adrian worked at a major accounting firm and was a partner at Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills) before joining Greenwoods as a Director in 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Melbourne and a Postgraduate Diploma in Taxation from RMIT University. He is a Fellow of The Tax Institute and lectures in the Masters of Law course at the University of Melbourne.
