Diane Burn joined Greenwoods in 2016 following her retirement from the Australian Taxation Office.
For most of her 30 year career in Australian tax, Diane has worked in the compliance areas of the ATO, particularly in the Public Groups and International area. Most recently, she held the position of Assistant Commissioner – Alternative Dispute Resolution Strategies in the Law Design & Practice Group .
Diane’s considerable knowledge of the workings of the ATO and, in particular, its approach to objections, litigation, independent reviews and mediations involving both domestic and cross-border transactions provides a unique perspective and invaluable insight for our clients in their dealings with the ATO.
Diane holds a Bachelor of Business degree with a focus on accounting and economics. She has undertaken a variety of courses in specialist tax topics as part of the ATAX programme at UNSW.
