New recruits to the Sydney office

2016 has seen the addition of nine exceptional tax professionals to the Greenwoods & Herbert Smith Freehills' Sydney office. 

The new appointments build on the the strength of the firm with their diverse backgrounds, unique insights and strong technical skills across a range of issues and industries.

We are delighted to welcome the following professional staff members to Greenwoods.

Diane Burn, Consultant

Diane comes to Greenwoods following her retirement after 30 years with the Australian Taxation Office, most recently holding the position of Assistant Commissioner - Alternative Dispute Resolution Strategies in the Law Design & Practice Group. Diane's vast experience and knowledge of the ATO has already benefited many clients as they navigate through the rulings and review processes.

Libby Duncan, Senior Associate

Libby joined Greenwoods from a global property and infrastructure company and boasts a deep understanding of tax risk management, development of tax governance frameworks, group tax policies and tax risk reporting - particularly as these issues relate to the real estate industry.

Zahra Al-Zaidi advises on a wide range of income tax issues as well as withholding tax, indirect tax and payroll tax issues with a particular focus on the real estate sector.

Rebecca Fan's practice focuses on the issues facing the real estate and financial services sectors.

Steven Guo provides advice to the real estate sector on a wide range of tax advisory and compliance issues.

Tina Huang advises on a wide range of tax issues affecting the real estate sector.

Sarah Reddick has recently returned to the practice of tax law. Over the course of her 25-year career she has worked in private practice and in-house and has practiced tax, capital markets and employee benefits law in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Aakriti Sharma provides specialist advice in relation to the Goods and Services Tax and other indirect taxes to a wide range of sectors and industries.

Sarah Trau advises on a wide range of tax issues and assists clients on compliance with particular expertise in the real estate sector.
